Marvel's Spider-Man is a action-adventure game Released by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man and developed by Insomniac Games.

Released on September 7, 2018, it's the very first game. The game tells a new story about Spider-Man that is not tied to film, video game, or an existing comic book, and covers Peter Parker and Spider-Man aspects of the character.

Spider-Man was received upon launch. Critics called it one of the best superhero games praising especially the battle, its gameplay and web-swinging mechanics, images, narrative, characterization, and design of new york, though felt it lacked innovation in its design that was open-world. The game turned into a commercial success, selling 3.3 million copies in its first three days of launch, and bankrupt several sales documents.

Spider-Man features a huge ensemble cast of characters in Spider-Man comics' history. Parker uses these skills to protect the citizens of New York City since the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years in his superhero career, Parker is now an skilled and masterful crime fighter, but struggles to balance lives and his superhero. He is aided in his fight with intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, also NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). In his Spiderman civilian life, Parker is encouraged by his Aunt May (Nancy Linari) who volunteers at the F.E.A.S.T. homeless shelter run by philanthropist Martin Li (Stephen Oyoung). Parker is used by his friend and mentor, the respected scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's adventure brings him into contact with different characters, such as Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) and his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO and New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), along with Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), chief of the private military firm Sable International.

Spider-Man's mission to protect the city brings him into conflict with several supervillains. Fisk is delivered to prison, but cautions that he was the only person maintaining order in the city. Fisk's absence gives rise to a supernaturally powered, demonic-mask sporting gang known as the Demons who start dividing the city for the powerful Mr. Side, who will corrupt individuals through his signature. Spider-Man should also face Electro (Josh Keaton), Rhino (Fred Tatasciore), Scorpion (Jason Spisak), Vulture (Dwight Schultz), Shocker (Dave B. Mitchell), Taskmaster (Brian Bloom), Screwball (Stephanie Lemelin), and Tombstone (Corey Jones).

Several different characters--such as Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who has disappeared on a long European vacation, along with anti-Spider-Man podcast bunch J. Jonah Jameson (Darin de Paul) have voice roles in the main game. The game includes several references to the Marvel Comics world, such as the Wakandan Embassy Avengers Tower, the Sanctum Sanctorum, Murdock & Nelson Attorneys at Law, Rand Corporation, and Alias Investigations.
